All along, I thought I wouldn’t have time once I get in university, but man was I wrong. Sure, there’s more essays, more homework, higher expectations, more money needed, but there’s also less school time. I’ve gone from a 30-35 hour school week plus work to a 14.5 school week. Yeah, crazy. I’m also broke, but that’s for a different blog entry.

I also live in residence. Fortunately, my friends all brought DVD’s from home so I get to watch and rewatch movies! I’m just going to list them all to see how much I’ve watched over the span of 2 and a half months.

He’s Just Not That Into You

Another Cinderella Story

John Tucker Must Die

Crash

Valkyrie*

American Pie 1

Kill Bill 1*

Kill Bill 2*

The Shining

Land of Women

Night in the Museum 1

My Super Ex-Girlfriend

The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Hairspray

The Producers*

Chicago*

Love, Actually

Russell Peters: Outsourced

The Gamer**

Fame**

Neon Genesis Evangelion***

Gigantic

(500) Days of Summer*

Taken

Mr. & Mrs. Smith

Black Snake Moan

Y Tu Mama Tambien

Head On

Extract**

Couples Retreat**

Bewitched

Casino Royale

The Holiday

* – movies I’ve already seen before
** – movies I watched in the theatres
*** – I’ve seen it before and it was shown in the theatres as a movie

I find this impressive because I would have never watched as much if I stayed in Vancouver. That’s a lot of movies. Wow.

I’m doing alright in the International Relations part since all I’m doing is taking the pre-requisites for it. English? Not so hot. I want A’s. I can’t seem to get A’s. It frustrates me. People have told me to STFU and be happy because it’s a good grade. But it’s something I know I’m good at but can’t seem to be good at it NOW.

Why? Writer’s block. I’ve figured this out today. I need to write more. Creatively and blogging-ly. Which is why I’m just going to be writing like a madwoman starting today.

I blame my inner over-achiever that is never satisfied for this. But, I really want an A in my English classes. That is all.

Eina and University Life.

Please leave any comments there.

It’s been two months and 5-6 days since I moved away to start school and it dawned on me that I really haven’t told anyone, in detail, what has been going on. To be honest, it’s nothing really. I miss Vancouver immensely, but that doesn’t mean I’m not enjoying Calgary. I know, odd. Anyway, a list is mandatory for this post!

Here’s the list:

If you’re still in high school, you plan on moving away/pursuing post-secondary education, here’s a tip you’ve probably heard a million times: SAVE.UP.MONEY. No, don’t give me those “Oh, I’ll just get a loan” bullcrap because getting a loan is not fun. The amount I owe right now is painful. It’s a five-digit amount. MMMHHHM. Also, don’t over rely on parents, that’s just not cool.

If you are going to stay in residence, plan on partying like there’s no tomorrow: be careful. Also, it would be a good idea to allocate booze fund. You can be creative. Right now, I have bottles in my room waiting to be recycled. The money’s not going to go for booze fund though, since me and my roommate would rather caffeinate ourselves most of the time. (Speaking of, coffee awaits me after this post.)

If you love caffeine, buy a coffee maker. Moving away? Pray your roommate(s) love or don’t mind the smell of coffee. Otherwise, I’m pretty sure a coffee maker will gain you friends. You can also heat water in this baby so you can make noodles, oatmeal and other shizzle.

Know how to balance your time. See, I’m not a partier, therefore I have all the time in the world. I must get stellar grades, right? Nope. University is distracting, especially if you live in it. My friend though, is a hardcore party person on the weekend, and hardcore science nerd during the weekdays. He gets 90’s. Bastard. See if I let him use our coffeemaker… which really isn’t mine. (It’s my roommate’s.)

Homesick? Here’s a secret I do: I Googlewalk. What on earth is that? I go to Google Maps, look up the street where I live, zoom in as close as you can and then walk. Most streets you can use that nifty feature of dragging the yellow man to walk around the area…. yep. It doesn’t help that it was sunny the day Google decided to take satellite images of Vancouver. It was sunny. Wow.

Feeling all aloney on your owney? Join clubs, befriend people that sit beside you/around you, volunteer, work. Lots of different ideas. I should be getting on that “work” thing.

Well, this list pretty much sums up what I’ve been doing so far. I know it’s more of a “here’s what to do” list, but yeah, this is what I’ve been doing and thinking about all these days. Anyways, my countdown to Vancouver has commenced: 47 DAYSSSSSSSS!

Sadly, there’s a big hump called finals which comes before going home. I will tackle that beast.

Instead, I decided to have a life and be broke. Not so sure if the path I chose was the right one seeing as I really need money right now. Enough about icky financial matters!

I’ve managed to get xampplite working and am about to update my locally installed WordPress to the latest version (something I should do for the actual blog)! I plan on making a new layout for my site and figure out what on earth I’m going to do with this webspace! I have no idea how long I’ll last because my jaw really hurts as I type and I’m getting dizzy.

Whatever. My wisdom tooth extraction pains can suck it. This place needs a makeover!

Next thing on my agenda: Photoshop! God, do I even know how to use Photoshop still. Oh dearz.

Yes, you heard/read me right, four. Currently, I can’t even open my mouth wide enough to brush my teeth so I have been rinsing day and night… and after every time I eat Quaker Oats. I have also been reduced to eating Quaker Oats for days now because I cannot chew properly. My mother has bought me udon and pho because she thinks those are easy to chew. I suppose they are… but as I said, I can’t chew. All I can do is slurp.

Oh, my jaw is stiff. What on earth is happening to me! This week was supposed to be busy week! I was supposed to take care of my student loans, make a new layout for this website and steal a couple of shifts at work because I need money. I should really also cancel that gym membership. Instead of doing all this… I am here in bed, unable to talk properly and drooling like a baby while rolling around in pain. Oh thank god for Advil.

I figured they were hiding from the gloomy Vancouver skies. No, apparently they were all in Victoria! For Saturday and Sunday, my family and I went to Victoria, BC… to be tourists. Trust me, I felt really silly when tour guides would ask, “Where are you from?” I’d answer them with a “Uh… Vancouver?” They’d just not and move on. The next person would say Mexico and would strike up a conversation about tacos or something. Come on, you can strike a conversation about rain with me! Oh right, you get the same amount of rain too.

On the bright side, I got my friend a tai-chi wooden sword thing. Me and my brother were battling in that gift store in Chinatown. I also saw pretty masks. I wanted to buy it! They were pretty masks! Like, they were those type of masks with elaborate detail and artwork in them. I regret it now, I’ll have to move on somehow.

Pictures to come soon, maybe.

Next week, my mother and I will be embarking on a trip to Calgary. I should probably get off my ass since I’ll be on a bus for 15 hours twice for a grand total of 30 hours. Thank god there’s no snow this time so we won’t get delayed in some area with no cellphone reception that’ll make you play disastrous sound classical music and would want to make you yell out loud.

The Joys of Being Bored

Originally published at antipatica.org. Please leave any comments there.

My mother just came in my room complaining about how hot it is in my room. Uh, okay. What do you want me to do? Call upon the power of the wind to give my room some ventilation? Sure, I would if I could. I don’t see the validity of her complaint since it is my room and she doesn’t have to be in my room. Anyways, weird mothers aside… nothing has been going on in my life.

I feel like I should’ve at least built up suspense or something before letting the bomb drop. Ah wells. Maybe I’ll make a list of things I’ve been doing lately:

I’ve been playing Typing Maniac, I cannot beat my top score of 316,000 +. I think I was talking to my friend on Skype while playing so I didn’t notice I even reached that score.

I’ve been Skype-ing for HOURS with a friend. We managed to reach eight hours on Skype. You must think that we’ve been having some deep conversations about life and whatever. Nope, not really. In fact, there are times when we don’t talk and just do what we do. I believe I was making weird sounds for a couple of minutes because I was bored. Mmhm.

I’ve been working. Since the restaurant I work at is going to be in the 2010 Olympic area of downtown Vancouver, my manager has been on a hiring spree. Since she’s on a hiring spree, that means I’m on a training spree. As much as I love training, watching the same videos twice in a day can get on someone’s nerves.

My Yu Yu Hakusho download has finished! Well it finished a week ago and I am taking my time watching the show. I love the animes of the 90’s. They are epic in proportions. This one has 112 episodes!

Well this chain of boredom is going to be broken for two weeks since I’m going to Victoria tomorrow and then going to Calgary for the next week. I am not that ecstatic about my Calgary trip as I have to sit on a bus for a total of 30 hours (ONE WHOLE DAY PLUS SOME HOURS OMFG.) for the trip there and back home. I still don’t get why it costs more to fly to the province next to BC that flying to Vegas. Weird.

So for you people on summer vacation, are you bored out of your wits as well? Or maybe you’re doing something totally productive and you laugh at my pitiful existence?

After four months (at least that’s what my WordPress says) of unuse, I am back to share the mundane little details of my life. Here’s a quick recap:

I graduated high school. Goodbye David Thompson Secondary! (I do find it funny that there is one page dedicated to the New Moon shooting. Bleh)

I still work at McDonald’s. Some Latino guys tried to order in Spanish, maybe they thought that it would be funny to see someone confused when you order in Spanish. Well it’s not, and I understand enough Spanish to be able to take someone’s order. Sucks for them really because Filipino, though derived from Spanish, has different words… especially swear words.

I’m going to the University of Calgary this fall. I can’t wait to move into a bedroom smaller than mine and share it with some stranger, use a public washroom and maybe get drunk due to peer pressure. Huh.

I got myself a 640 GB hard drive which will be soon filled with anime and TV shows. Heys.

Wow, nothing much happened in the span of four months? My life really is boring. But worry not, I got 3 books for $7.00 at Coles yesterday at Richmond Centre! I’m nearly finishing Paulo Coelho’s books and might write a review soon. I’ll figure out what else to write. The allure of having a mini blog like Tumblr was okay, but I occasionally wanted to write long ones. So I’m back!

WordPress at School

Instead, I am watching my sub teach the junior students about… WordPress. I don’t know what he plans or how he plans to teach them about making websites through WordPress, but I am rather interested in his lesson. Hence why I am blogging and reading Paradise Lost.

One more thing I’ve been thinking about is this blog. I don’t do much in this blog anymore because I’ve been more on Tumblr. I do want to keep this domain and the emails and everything, but I just don’t know what to do with all these space. (I have quite a lot).

I really don’t know anymore. Maybe it’s just the fact that school and pressure brought by school is getting to me. Who knows, maybe I’m just hungry. Meanwhile, I’ll figure out how to put Tumblr in here.

COTW: I cannot sing the Oh Canada

I can’t sing good, but I can surely sing a national anthem.

Sooo, this imposes a rather interesting problem. February 8 is our third year anniversary here in Canada, and my mom will submit applications for citizenship the day after. The applications don’t get processed that quickly probably because of the number of immigrants living in the country. We have to answer a test about Canada (my parents are actually forreals studying, no surprise seeing as the application fee costs $100) and obviously sing the anthem of our new country. Yay!

I have nothing against Canada, nothing at all. It’s mostly a personal matter, but I cannot bring myself to sing the Oh Canada. If we compare this to a relationship, let’s just say I’m not ready to say “I love you” even though I am completely in love and definitely want a commitment. Yeap, I think that sums it up.

So what will I do? I think I’ll try to get to know Canada on a whole different level. One of the things I love the most about the Philippines is its history and how it came to be. Canada… is reaaaally different. I think I’ll try something else with Canada. Ah, relationships.

Oh and Valentine’s is coming up! That was quick.

Why must you have done so many things that influenced the world?!?!

Signed:
History 12 student whose back is sore and is going crazy because she has been studying for 12 hours now.

Above message would seriously be in caps lock too, but I left that for Facebook instead. JFC, I have been up since 4 am (it is now 5 pm) studying Hamlet then proceeded to study History. I am stuck in the Depression (moving really slowly out of it, kind of like the countries at that time *facepalm*) because I do not like this topic. Sure, I know this might have sparked something in Hitler to get his country out of the Depression by breaking all things Versailles, and yes I can actually ramble on about this for hours to come… but I do not like studying the Depression.

Ugh, I have Hitler’s actual domination of Germany, the weirdness that Britain and France did at that time and then the actual war up to the Battle of Britain.

You guys should see my book, it is covered with post-its. I got this from my Lit books which is covered with post its by the generous AP students before me. I don’t know whether I should keep my post its on my History book. I think that’d be too generous of me. I condensed the contents of the book into little post-its. Hum.

How long do you guys spend on studying for major exams? And have you noticed that almost the bad dudes of the world had interesting ’staches?

I like Love Lockdown because I can slightly relate to it, yet I doubt that my level of heartbreak was anywhere close to where Kanye’s was… is? But this is a story I really don’t want to tell anymore because it’s depressing and well… life is boring when you’re depressed.

They also say that when you hold a grudge or a pain in your heart, luck avoids you. We don’t want luck avoiding us, now do we?

(Where do I get all these sayings about luck and money? My mother, haha.)

But yeah, I just wanted to share how I got over this little stint. It took me 3 months and then when New Year’s was near, I have decided that I was going to get over this little thing, because surely there is something out there that is way better for me, right? Yes, the answer is always yes.

One of the things that has helped me actually fulfill this resolution was the quote “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.” I am very alive, although a bit bruised emotionally (actually, I am more cynical than ever, but that’s all good) , I’ll survive.

Speaking of resolutions, I normally stop doing my resolutions a week after, but I am going strong! How about for those made resolutions?

Please leave any comments there.

Right, I am a slave to the golden arches whose fries everyone seems to love. What is this restaurant known for (minus the over-preserved foods and Supersize Me)? Fast service. This was what has been engraved in my head ever since I started working. Hell, I got promoted quickly because I served customers quick and managed to still do all the polite stuff I’m supposed to do.

So imagine my surprise when someone complained I was too fast. Someone complained that I was too fast and that he didn’t even get to order more.

Before any assumptions are made, I was alone by the cashier and I had a whole line up to tackle because my manager had to help the lady in the kitchen cause she was a bit slow. So I’m fine, I’ve done this several times, I can do this line up. There were about ten people waiting patiently to get served by one me. This guy asks for a double cheeseburger and a bacon cheeseburger, and then he pays for it. Obviously, when you pay you’re done with your order. I took other orders after that because we’re supposed to take as much orders as we can if the food hasn’t been made yet (and there were two people making the food, anyways). When I gave him his order, he had commented on how I was too fast and that he didn’t even get the chance to order his McFlurry because I was too fast.

I didn’t know how to respond. If the person was complaining that I was too slow, well, I can always say that we’re understaffed (as it was rather obvious at that time), but then again, the same argument also works for me being too fast.

This weirdo of a guy later talks to my manager and says that he has to do something about me being too fast. My manager (bewildered as she was) told him that we are a fast food restaurant and we are known for fast service. You know what the guy says?

“You guys should relax.”

I’m sorry, how do you relax when you have ten people waiting to get their food and you’re all over the place making sure they get whatever the hell they want? We’re supposed to serve people in under 3 minutes and 30 seconds from the moment they walk in.

I sound like I’m complaining, in a way I am, but man… this is too funny. Never in my work life, until Tuesday past, have I ever got the complaint that I was too fast. Oh I got, you have attitude (haha the bastard who complained about this made me cry. After this incident, I became one cold little girl at work haha.), my fries are cold, my fries are not standing up and other weird ones, this one just takes the cake.

Obviously, not all customers are weird and pissy, so the other customers were telling me how fast service is good and how I was doing a good job. I love these people because they can relate. These people were in their 20’s and that person who complained was in the later years of his life. Does that have any relation?

Anyways, I have ensured myself that I simply am too pro and people can’t handle it. -insert that MSN smiley with the shades-

Oh people, we complain about everything.

What was the weirdest/funniest comment you have ever gotten? How’d you react to it?

Please leave any comments there.

Ugh, alright. Before I start, I would like to tell you all the I don’t remember the last time I’ve had my monthly visitor (you know what I’m talking about!) before today. Granted, I do tend to forget things, but I seriously did not have this visitor for 2008 except for one month which I cannot remember. March? I honestly don’t know.

Moving on, so the pain is like 12 times more and I can barely walk. As much as getting my period reassures me that my body is not as messed up as I think it is, I still hate it because:

I am one cranky bitch (pardon the word, but this is seriously how I am right now) when I get my period. Even trying to bribe me with free food and transportation doesn’t not change my mind when I make up my mind. I actually yelled at this weirdo customer of mine who was just being weird. I was so close to going GTFO, but yeah no, I still have my self-control.

Being number one, I am also, also very emotional lately. I normally don’t care if you don’t text/IM me back (although it pisses me off if I ask you a question through text/IM and you you don’t respond at all, uhm pretty rude?), but lately, I’ve been very clingy and anti-social at the same time. Very weird.

I’ve been feeling a bit sad lately. Why? I have no clue. I was actually really happy because of Valkyrie and all that.

The fact that my body is still responding to having moved to Canada, this whole getting it once a year thing reminds me of how much things have changed in a rather worrisome way. Maybe it’s number 3?

I already think too much, but now, I think ultra-much (hence the post? XD)

Ladies, what’s the one thing you dislike when you get a visit from TOM (a friend’s friend made this up, it stands for Time of Month)?

I think I’ll get some Tylenol now, haha.

a.k.a the Valkyrie movie review (because omfg Eina loved the movie so much she WILL go and watch it again), but before we start, some lulz:

Link goes to where I found this picture.

The movie focuses around Claus von Stauffenberg (Tom Cruise… with an eyepatch!) and the people around him who share the exact same goals: to get rid of Adolf Hitler. Operation: Valkyrie, the name from where the movie was derived from) is actually the name of the special backup force prepared by Hitler himself in case he dies. Once he dies, this special military force will take over Germany and seize control until everything settles down. Stauffenberg devises a plan that uses this special force to take care of all the dirty work for him and his colleagues (arresting all those loyal to Hitler, the Gestapo officials and just the Gestapo themselves, and any other officers who try to disagree with their group), while he and the other officers try to take power on all of Hitler’s Germany (the Reich?) and most importantly, Berlin.

Unlike Passchendale which was “some bed scene and some boob show” (as my History teacher described it to us, haha), Valkyrie actually gives us an inside look on Nazi Germany during 1944-1945. Throughout the whole movie, you can actually feel the suspense, and trust me, there is no dull moment in this movie. The fact that even the small characters were given names is quite astounding as it creates an actual solid setting for the movie. The movie also has the dates and even the time to see how the plan progresses along, even at the very end, it tells you when the soldiers who joined the coup were executed.

Also, Stauffenberg’s character was someone you can actually sympathize to, because throughout the course of the movie, you will see that he worries deeply about his family and how this coup might affect them. Even when they were spreading the news of Hitler’s false death, he asks one of the secretaries to connect them to his family.

All in all, I enjoyed the movie, will watch it again, will buy the DVD and rave about it for months to come.

Trivia:

Valkyrie is based from a true story (which they will tell you, in Geman then English, at the beginning of the movie)

The July 20 attempt was the last attempt out of 15 on Hitler’s life.

The Stauffenberg family survived, Nina von Stauffenberg died in 2006. (Me and my friend wonder if his kids watched this movie.)

The title of this post was also from the movie. It’s when the leader of the Valkyrie battalion is on the phone with Hitler and Hitler says this line. I found it quite funny! XD

Hmm, is Stauffenberg a Jewish name? Probably not, but we were also wondering about that. So, do you like History? Have you watched Valkyrie yet? Did you like it (and can we fangirl/boy together?) or did get absolutely bored of it? Share your opinions of the movie! (Not about my review because I know it is total and utter crap, haha.)

Please leave any comments there.

(Hey this QuickPress thing on my dashboard is pretty cool!)

My inability to sleep is not unusual, although it is very unhealthy and bad for me, but I’ve figured out why I am so incapable of sleeping early these days. It’s a hyphenated word most kids in grade 12 worry like crazy about. You know it… dun, dun, dun… post-secondary.

Oh no, it’s not the getting into those schools part that is concerning me (even though it really should!) It’s the distance of the schools from Vancouver! You see, I am really excited about this whole going away for university thing, but when I look at it again, it actually really scares the living daylights out of me. The longest I have been away from my family was a week, and I had my Catholic school teachers with me then, so it was like my parents were never away.

I’m worried about homesickness (which hits me really hard) and worried whether I’ll survive (haha, anxiety much?), oh let’s not forget the weather. Vancouver has a temperature that is mild compared to the rest of Canada. These places I’m going to, they get way colder and warmer during winter and summer respectively. Also, I feel kind of sucky that I am going to leave friends again for the second time around. It’s not something I enjoy doing. =/

Complaining and worrying as I am, if I am given the actual admission to go into those schools, I can tell you that I am going to grab that chance by the neck. I’m just really scared about this whole thing, that’s all… it’s normal right?

Oh, I made a map!

Yeah, you might be asking, if you didn’t want to go so far away why did you even bother applying there? Well, I wanted to give it a try. I actually did want to go far, far away, but now, I am hesitating? Oh, I don’t know. Maybe I should worry more about this when I get actual letters of admissions and should just sleep now.

Did you move out for university? How was the experience?

Also, the 2.7 WordPress sure looks sleeker (someone just updated!), but I still need to get used to it. This morning I couldn’t even figure out how to approve comments! But then again, that’s what happens when you don’t touch these stuff for a while.

But uh… the main point of this post is:

Yeah! I’ve been planning to this for 2008, but for some reason never really got around to doing it. Maybe because I was distracted as it was the year of the great infatuation, but this year, I am more focused on more important and fruitful things! I should be studying for math, but I’ve decided to make this photoblog instead! This photoblog is for the Project 365 from Photojojo which is a little project that aims for people to take one picture every day of the year to see and document that year. I figure since my phone has a decent 5-megapixel camera, might as well give this a go!

Anyone doing this or have already done this project? Anyone interested?

And this post was a total brainfart in case you haven’t noticed

I know, bad Eina! It just came up like a minute or so ago while I was browsing my Tumblr dashboard. Given that I’ve seen this quote a million times already, I mostly just ignored it:

“When you love someone say it. Say it loud. Say it right away, or the moment just passes you by and you may never get the chance again.People live, but people die.”

Here goes.. I LOVE ME, GOSH.

Clean your room to get rid of unnecessary clutter for 2009. Well, I am in the process of cleaning my room and I am already getting annoyed with it. I am a packrat. Also, what’s clean to me is not clean for my mother which is more annoying. I don’t like stuff put away because I don’t remember where I put them away! I like them accessible. But no, mother wants them all put away so everything is neat and tidy. God. Talk about OCD. And that turned into a mini-rant, oops.

JUMP! When the clock strikes midnight you’re supposed to jump so you’ll grow taller. Oh how I wish this was true. You know, I just want to be a little over five feet. Just a tiny bit.

Do you have 12 round fruits by your table? No? Well go grocery shopping and find yourself some round fruits because they apparently bring prosperity for the new year.

Polk-a-dots, are they somewhere in your closet? Wear them! This apparently brings in more money for you in the upcoming year!

Make a hell of a lot of noise, and open them windows. So when the clock strikes 12, you should be blasting out noise and then opening your windows. Blasting out noise to scare evil away and then opening windows so the good luck comes in. I just realized that the good and the bad luck might get into a traffic jam while doing this… so I don’t know how effective this is. Also, if you live in an apartment like I do, it is better to check if your other neighbours are doing the same so you won’t get reported to the superintendent of your building.

Go shopping. Apparently, you’re supposed to wear new digs tonight! Not only is this an excuse to shop, but it also brings good luck into the new year!

Truth be told, I’ll probably only do number 1 since my room does need cleaning. The others are stuff we used to do before, and some Filipino families still do it. What superstitions do your parents or you do for the New Year’s?

And it is amazing how much paper one collects over the span of a month.

Oh and I’m not making any resolutions, seeing as I don’t remember them a week after, but do you have any resolutions?

Please leave any comments there.

So Christmas is approaching really quick, (try a day and an hour in my side of the planet lol) and I am madly writing cards for my closest friends. Oh, these are not the simple Merry Christmas cards. These are blank cards that I am filling up with a really random letter. Well, provided that these cards I’m writing are for my best friends for almost seven years and whom I have not seen for about three years now, I do have a lot to tell them:

My friends better read these! Took me 5 hours to write those three cards alone. ):

But do people still write actual letters and cards that have more thought than their name and the greeting for the occasion? I’m the type of person who likes getting and writing letters. There’s just something more personal to it compared to emails.

Who will you be writing thoughtful cards and letters to this holiday season?

What welcomed me besides the insane amounts of unusual snow and my brother’s usual grunting was two brown envelopes on my bed:

Tentative admissions to the University of Calgary! For both English and International Relations! I just have to figure out whether my Biology 12 grade is still considered alright because of this one potentially perilous line: “Please not that summer school grades cannot be used to satisfy the competitive admission average requirements or program admission requirements.”

Where is the Philippines located?

It’s located in Asia.

No need to dig deeper than that, really. I wish some people would just get over that stereotype of Asians being similar-looking to only the Koreans, the Japanese or the Chinese people. They’re not the only countries in Asia, and it’s making me kind of disappointed that people don’t realize this.

Or maybe I’m just bitter that I had to memorize all the countries in Asia and their capital cities and kids from other continents don’t. IDK, you tell me.

(I don’t remember them anymore, though. I do know that Brunei’s capital is called Bandar Seri Beggawan or something like that.)

And yay! Three more days till Christmas! And it’s snowing like crazy here in Raincouver. I can’t help but get a little paranoid. Ever watched The Day After Tomorrow where the whole world (or well mostly the Northern Hemisphere) froze over? That’s the reason why I am so paranoid and itching to go back to the Philippines for warmth and safety.

I’m willing to bet that once I get back there, I am going to wish for snow, though.

I like saying “Whatever” when I get asked what I want for said holiday, but when it is thrown at me as a response, I want to eat my friends alive or something.

Probably not, but you get the point.

Have you guys done shopping for the holidays yet?

Also, Christmas makes me miss Philippines the most. It’s so bright there during this time of the year, regardless of the economy and whatnot. Vancouver is just… dreary and rainy. Talk about depressing, huh?
